About me

Hi, I'm Megan. I am a senior at the University of Michigan, studying Art & Design and User Experience. I am passionate about crafting meaningful experiences that leave a positive impact. In my free time, I enjoy digital painting, reading zines, competing in esports, playing the ukulele, and collecting cat memes.

My Design Philosophy

I strive to create solutions that are inclusive and transparent, considering the diverse needs of people and the potential impacts on privacy, accessibility, and equity. To me, design is about balancing innovation with responsibility by questioning assumptions, engaging with stakeholders, and embedding moral principles into the process. By doing so, I aim to design experiences that empower individuals and contribute positively to the world around us.

Why UX?

I first started attending university in the College of Engineering. I quickly realized that I cared more about how the range of emotions a product evokes, its functionality when a user interacts with it, and its aesthetic design compared to how it is built and manufactured. I decided to pursue a degree in Art & Design addition to my degree in UX to master graphic design. With my two degrees, I seek to build technologies that are both beautiful and practical.
